Store-bought cut flowers are beautiful. but I am buying them less often. Instead, I am getting inspired by the wildflowers, vegetable flowers, and even weeds. Except for the extremely cold winter, I can always find some beautiful plants around my yard. Every time, there is a little story behind it.
Today, I cut two blossoms of the onions I planted in my garden. Some onions I bought for cooking in late winter started sprouting in early spring before I used them up . So I planted them in my garden. They soon grew green leaves (which is actually a great ingredient), and then started sprouting a beautiful white flower that reminded me of an umbrella in the wind.
