Transition from Summer to Fall – Adding a Bomber Jacket

September 22, 2016

I didn't realize that the military-inspired bomber jacket is so versatile and easy to style until very recently.  It can go with an overall, wide-leg jeans, leggings, a slip dress, slim pants, or a pencil skirt, making it a chic addition to everything from causal pieces to our polished nine-to-five ensembles. From post-work outfits to casual weekend looks, a lightweight bomber jacket is a great transition piece to take my wardrobe from summer to fall.

Last Saturday was a busy fun day, starting from a fishing trip at the bay with rain boots on and jeans rolled up (no pictures taken :), then changing the rain boots to a pair of loafers and taking a brief rest at a small pier nearby.

Heading to the town for grocery shopping afterwards...

But ending up at a cozy hat store, spotting a lovely Panama hat ...

It turned chilly when we stepped out of the hat store.  So a bomber jacket came to play its role.  And I borrowed my husband’s fishing hat to complete the look (and also to hide the flattened hair from wearing all kinds of hats during the day).  It was a Fun Hats Day :)
