One pair of culottes– two ways - Look II

As I work a full-time job, a closet full of casual clothes just doesn't seem to be practical considering I must spend five days a week in work attire. So choosing pieces that I can wear both to work and on the weekends is a smart way to shop, to save money and to save my closet space. By carefully pairing with tailored or laid-back items, I can create looks that make both my boss girlfriends more than pleased.

Today, I am showing you one piece that fits this purpose -- a tailored navy culottes.

I am a big fan of culottes. They’re fun, comfortable and can be worn different ways. There are two reasons that I added this new pair to my collection. They are made with suit-like fabric and the legs are not too wide. These features make it potential to be office appropriate. As always, its wide leg and cropped construction are fun enough to wear out on the weekends.

Look One [ see here for this look] – paring with a white pleated bib blouse and a stiletto - - the knife pleat mandarine collar of the blouse , and the slight flash of rose gold pumps make this straightforward getup feel special while still keeping it professional.

Look Two – paring with a bell sleeve peplum sweater -- a classic feminine style with a touch of modern accents. The color palette of navy, cream, carol along with the texture combination of wool, suede, and fur, plus the bell sleeve and peplum hem of the sweater, make this pairing undeniably feminine, while some of the details- block heel with golden metal patch, the pointy toe, and the fringe clutch - give it the modern vibe I love.

Wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving
